What your money can achieve

£5 could help towards

  • Keeping seven people across the world up to date with the latest developments in HIV through our news bulletins from all the major HIV conferences each year.

  • Providing an information pack for someone newly diagnosed with HIV in the UK – supporting them to understand HIV and how to look after their health.

£10 could help towards

  • Supporting someone to talk confidently with their healthcare teams and take an active part in their treatment decisions with our monthly newsletter, HIV Treatment Update.
  • Keeping aidsmap.com updated, so people dealing with HIV anywhere in the world can access the information they need, whenever they need it.
  • Delivering vital practical information to healthcare staff and staff in community-based organisations in some of the areas most devastated by HIV and AIDS through HIV & AIDS Treatment in Practice to support the scale-up of treatment, prevention and care services.

£50 could help towards

  • Mapping HIV services across the world to improve advocacy, information sharing, referrals and networking.

  • Keeping a sexual health clinic in the UK supplied with patient information materials.
  • Providing 15 healthcare workers, based in the countries worst affected by HIV, with relevant, up-to-date and practical information on the latest developments and best practice to support the roll-out of HIV treatment, through our twice monthly e-newsletter, HIV & AIDS Treatment in Practice (HATIP).

£100 could help towards

  • Producing patient information booklets and factsheets that break down complex, often frightening, information into something understandable and reassuring, and improve a person’s confidence about life with HIV.
  • Translating and adapting our patient information booklets for use where there is a desperate need for clear, accurate, impartial information.
